Background – Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has allotted Transgender Welfare Equity and Empowerment Trust (TWEET) Foundation registered under Mumbai Charity Commissioner; project to implement ‘Garima Griha’ shelter home for the transgender men and women in Mumbai. The project will provide essential shelter home support, capacity building, mental & psychological support, employment, skill building and empowerment to the vulnerable transgender people between 18 – 60 years of age. The project will be implemented in collaboration with InHarmony, Anam Prem, Inner Wheel and State Welfare & Justice Department of Maharashtra. The project will be initiated from April 2021 onwards and following recruitments will be placed from 1st May 2021 onboard in Mumbai Suburban area.
